As a proud partner of the Lions District, Nepal, Leo Club D325L provides a dynamic platform where young people can develop their skills, gain practical experience, and build meaningful networks with accomplished leaders and professionals from diverse sectors. The Legacy Roots

Est. Dec 5, 1957

The Leo Club Program is the official youth development initiative of Lions Clubs International, founded on December 5, 1957, at Abington High School in Pennsylvania, USA. Established by Lion Jim Graver, a baseball coach and member of the Glenside Lions Club, the program was created to provide young people with opportunities to develop leadership skills while serving their communities. From its inception, the Leo movement has been guided by the principles of Leadership, Experience, and Opportunity, which continue to define the organization today. In 1967, the Leo Club Program was officially adopted as a youth program of Lions Clubs International and has since grown into a global network spanning more than 140 countries, empowering millions of young leaders worldwide.

Foundation of Leo Club Program

Founded in Pennsylvania, USA by Lion Jim Graver to build youth leadership.

Official International Adoption

Adopted officially as a key global youth program of Lions Clubs International.

1971

Lions Enters Nepal

Establishment of Lions Club of Biratnagar by Lion Matrika Prasad Koirala.

1973

First Leo Club in Nepal

Chartering of Leo Club of Kathmandu, introducing the youth wing to the country.

1990s-2000s

Multiple District 325 Expansion

Formation and expansion of MD 325 Nepal to structurally harmonize national growth.

Early MD 325 Era

District Partitioning

Formation of Districts 325 A1, A2, B1, and B2. Established central Leo body.

First Redistricting

Localized Administration

Bifurcated into LDC 325 A1, A2, B1, and B2 for regional excellence.

Second Redistricting
